The University of Wisconsin football team will be looking to avoid dropping four in a row at home for the first time since a five-game skid in 1990 when it hosts the Nebraska Cornhuskers in a matchup of Big Ten West Division foes on Saturday night at Camp Randall Stadium.

Boom!
At least our football program’s Twitter game has improved … because nothing else has.

Lifeless
heartless. gutless.

Realistic take
Truly an embarrassing loss in the short term - my long term opinion remains unchanged, the program was on the downslide, and it wasn’t something a new coach and some transfers were going to fix in a year.
— Dan D. (@One_Punch_Dan) November 11, 2023
Depth to that statement
Speechless… Worst loss since last week ..
— Jeff (@bluehighway15) November 11, 2023
When will it end!?
Fluky comeback against illinois away from having lost 5 straight. Embarrassing efforts every week. Bad team, and right now, bad program
— Robinson Muff-Potter (@thonnius_maker) November 11, 2023
Quite a few busts
Honest question.. did the strength and conditioning program fall off that far in the last years of Chryst? So many highly ranked offensive linemen getting annihilated
— 🦡🌞🦅 (@Fickell_Effect) November 11, 2023
A 4-star QB
So Fickell and staff have decided to implement their “scheme” at the cost of actually trying adjustments to win games ? What recruit is excited to come here for a scheme that scores 3 at home against Northwestern ?
— Mike N (@MikeNP40) November 11, 2023
That would be ... something
I hope the entire 24 recruiting class doesn’t decommit. Who would want to play for this colossal failure?
— Packer Badger (@badger_packer) November 11, 2023
All that matters?
The volleyball team and hockey team are good
— BrockinSB (@HiuraFan) November 11, 2023
Deserving of bigger spotlight
Can they funnel the football money into women's volleyball, hockey and soccer? At least they're putting a good product on the floor/ice/pitch.
— Revels 🦅 (@revel_rous) November 11, 2023
No excuse for effort
This level of play is unacceptable regardless of a new coaching staff
— Wisportsfan (@Wisconsportsfan) November 11, 2023
What's the definition of insanity?
Something needs to change fast, a course correction needs to happen ASAP. Maybe fire someone - tressels defense sucks and longos play calling sucks.

Seems too relaxed
— Dornaj O. Davis (@DornajD) November 11, 2023
Giant steps backward
This is a bad one, another complete team loss. No improvement and the defense is going backward. The lack of talent and depth was known but the effort and poor execution on a weekly basis is coaching and game planning. We should all be concerned.

It only gets tougher
Did AD Chris McIntosh hire the right man for the job? Seriously, this is rock bottom. How are the Badgers going to compete against the likes of Alabama, USC, Oregon, and Penn State next season when both Indiana and Northwestern dominate this team?

I don’t believe I have ever witnessed a complete demolition of a program like what I have seen this year.
Valid
If I am Purdue, Rutgers or Illinois, I am wondering how in the world I lost to Wisconsin.

Family over everything
Making me have second thoughts about traveling from Upstate NY for next week’s game. If I weren’t meeting my daughter there, I’d cancel the trip.

What's Area Red have to do with it?
It's not just that we're a bad team losing to even worse teams. It's that we are losing in the most unwisconsin way possible. No passion, no defense, no running game, and a lousy student section. I don't blame the coaches. They've won elsewhere. Chris Mcintosh this is on you.

Oh no!
Badger fans who are also Packer fans …. This is what it feels like to be a Bears fan.

Badger Volleyball is going to win a national championship.

Scary to think it could be the best they've got
How do you not try Locke or anyone else in second half? How is it that the same Online is starting and they have been terrible.

Same

Players have to accept coaching
Big measure of coaching strength is if you can win with someone else’s players. It appears Fickell and his staff can’t. Add in the fact the players are seemingly performing worse each week…hard not to see that as reflective of coaching.
— The Badger State (@CheesePlz22) November 12, 2023
Fair point
Anyone who puts this on the coaching staff has lost perspective. Fortunate for the program that Fickell and crew signed on … before knowing the size of the challenge in front of them.
— Badger Local (@BadgerLocal) November 11, 2023
Maybe next week

Ticket sales will not be good next year. Fool me once ….
Hastings hire looks good
How about, “Thoughts on Chris McIntosh?”
— Pat Heffling (@wurstbrewerfan) November 12, 2023
Worry level is high
Officially nervous the Badgers pivot to a completely foreign way of playing will not become a grave mistake; but deeply concerned Fickell has lost to inferior opponents. Simply state, he's failed to design game plans/schemes to play to the strengths of the players he inherited.
— wisconsinsane (@wisconsinsane) November 12, 2023
Gets tougher next year
Shouldn’t happen. Even in a down year. Becoming big 10 poverty.
— mike (@mike_innash) November 11, 2023
Wise words!
This is the worst Wisconsin loss in seven days! Thankfully, next week’s loss will take its place.
— Russ Evansen (@waunaruss) November 12, 2023
Will take some time
Lots of noise right now on social media regarding coaching but I doubt most of the people complaining understand what it actually takes to build back a program that already was in decline due to complacency and poor recruiting
— Mark Meddings (@MeddingsMark1) November 12, 2023
Millions of reasons to have hope
I can take being beat by a better team, but just seems like northwestern had more energy and effort today which is disappointing. Trying to maintain my trust in fickell.
— Ernie Nichalson (@BigErn2323) November 12, 2023
Hard-pressed to find one
Trying to remember a worse home performance in the last 20 or so years.
