The villages of Wind Point and Caledonia on Monday shared a map of detour routes for residents and commuters as construction begins on Four Mile Road. The Village of Caledonia said in a Facebook post that detours and road closures will be in place for the next couple of weeks.
The project will replace infrastructure and reconstruct East Four Mile Road from North Main Street to Lighthouse Drive, spanning areas in both municipalities.
The Caledonia Police Department discontinued use of the firing range in 1997 for "unknown" reasons, but remains largely in good condition, according to Caledonia Police Chief Christopher Botsch.
