On the fourth floor of UW-Madison’s Chamberlin Hall, light streamed into the Astronomy, Mathematics and Physics Library on Thursday, where a few students worked at its tables.
The Astronomy, Math and Physics Library in Chamberlin Hall at UW-Madison is set to close at the end of the day on Friday. The university is closing two libraries and reducing hours at others this year, due to budget cuts.

The Astronomy, Mathematics and Physics Library’s collections will transfer to Steenbock Library or a shelving facility, and students can request materials to pick up at other locations.
