Portable pop-up sauna parties are a new thing in the Madison area

Kindled Community Sauna holds pop-ups through the year outside local businesses and also in area parks, where participants can see the trees through near-transparent walls.
Jaclyn Ryan, owner of Kindled Community Sauna, heads into her portable sauna to add wood to the stove for clients outside of Burn Boot Camp in Middleton. Kindled Community hosts several pop-ups a month in Madison, Middleton and points west. Sessions are generally one hour and cost about $30.
Dan Murray runs Smokin' Barrel sauna, a portable sauna that he pulls with a truck for pop-ups and weekend gatherings. Sauna is “a great alternative to having people over and drinking,” he said.

"These pieces of art are like a gift for place, a place that I love," artist Anne Drehfal said, calling them "an offering" for the land.
