Red pants surprise, 2007
UW wore red pants for the Sept. 1, 2007, season opener against Washington State at Camp Randall Stadium. Then-athletic director Barry Alvarez, who didn't know ahead of time about the outfit alteration, "called us a SWAC (Southwestern Athletic Conference) team on TV," coach Bret Bielema said two days later. "It was a mixed reaction."
