Charter three-year Lake Geneva Bacon Fest attendee Bobby Zaloudek, of Chicago, famously known as "The Bacon Guy," shares what we loves about the bacon-centric festival.
ELKHORN — Bacon Fest is looking at its biggest and best year yet.
The three-day event is returning June 6-8, this time at the Walworth County Fairgrounds, 411 E. Court St., Elkhorn.
After four successful years at Flat Iron Park in downtown Lake Geneva, Bacon Fest will now have more bacon, more music and more space than ever.
“Bacon Fest keeps growing and we simply needed more room,” said David Sherman, vice president and managing director of Amplified Wisconsin.
Amplified Wisconsin is the parent company of the Lake Geneva Regional News, the Kenosha News and the Racine Journal-Times.
“Partnering with Walworth County Fairgrounds allows us to provide a bigger experience for attendees, vendors and performers alike.”
In addition to a bigger event site, there will be free parking and more bacon vendors, which means more unique bacon-inspired dishes.

“This year is all about growth and taking Bacon Fest to the next level,” Sherman said. “We’re bringing in top tier tribute bands, acts that usually have ticket prices twice the cost of admission to Bacon Fest. It’s an unbeatable weekend of food, music and fun.”
Lats year’s Bacon Fest featured dozens of vendors and hundreds of delicious, hard-to-find bacon dishes.
This year, expect even more, plus a beer garden, mouthwatering desserts and plenty of fun activities for people of all ages.
Food isn’t the only reason to attend Bacon Fest, which also promises an incredible live music experience.
Some of the Midwest’s most popular bands are slated to perform at the event.
Kicking off the live music schedule June 6 is Infinity, a tribute to Journey and 1980s rock music.
Kashmir, one of the nation’s top Led Zeppelin tribute acts, performs June 6.
On June 7, guests will hear music from Eagles tribute band Take It Easy; 1980s favorites Rumor Hazit; and BB and the Honey.
Fans of Elton John and Billy Joel will want to head to the stage June 8.
Simply Elton plays two hours of Elton John classics, followed by two hours of Simply Billy, which performs music by Joel.
Also scheduled is a performance by country music act Knockin’ Boots.
Bacon Fest hours are June 6, 3-10 p.m.; June 7, 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; and June 8, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Early bird ticket deals are now available for Bacon Fest.
General admission tickets are $10 from now through May 1.
“Very Important Bacon Eater” (VIBE) tickets are $10 off during the early bird special, or two for $89.
Regular VIBE ticket prices are $59 each.
