Dan and Deborah Carey of New Glarus Brewing Company in 1994, a few months after brewing their first batch of beer. Deb Carey, president of the company, will receive the Ken Hendricks Memorial "Seize the Day" award next month for entrepreneurial leadership in Wisconsin.
Following the Appenzell, Switzerland style of celebrating, members of the New Glarus' Männerchor & Jodlerklub yodeling choir dressed up in costumes to yodel on the streets of downtown New Glarus to celebrate Silvesterchlausen.
Spotted Cow is one of the most popular beers in Wisconsin and can only be purchased in the state. It was created in 1997 at New Glarus Brewing Company.
