KENOSHA — As renovations wrap up, teachers are beginning to set up their classrooms at KTEC Schools of Innovation’s new campus at 1901 63rd St. in Kenosha.
The 23-student Class of 2026 is the first group to have spent all four years of high school at KTEC Schools of Innovation in Kenosha. The charter’s high school first opened its doors in 2022.
KTEC Schools of Innovation in Kenosha — a STEM-focused, public K-12 charter school — purchased the shuttered Pick ‘n Save at 1901 63rd St. in October for $5 million. The 56,000-square-foot facility closed in 2017 but will reopen as KTEC’s new permanent home this fall.
A $5 million renovation will create a permanent 4K–12 campus featuring labs, classrooms and technical training areas, with doors expected to open by fall 2026.
KTEC Schools of Innovation celebrated its inaugural high school graduation Tuesday night as 14 members of the Class of 2025 crossed the stage to receive their diplomas during the hourlong convocation held at Gateway Technical College's Madrigrano Center, 3520 30th Ave.
