RACINE — Remnants of the Kaiser’s clothing store and Brandt Jewelers are evident at Sugar Shack Sweet Shoppe, which relocated last month around the corner from its original Monument Square storefront.
Michelle Noonan said they were able to bring all of Sugar Shack’s furniture and decorations from their original storefront in Monument Square to the new location.

Sugar Shack co-owner Michelle Noonan incorporated mementos from Kaiser’s, Brandt Jewelers and other historic Racine businesses in one of the display cases left in the building at 218 Sixth St.
A 10,000-pound safe, built in 1877, now sits beside Sugar Shack’s popcorn machine behind the ice cream counter.
