There will be a contested race for the Big Foot Union High School Board of Education on the Tuesday, April 1 spring general election ballot for the board's dedicated Sharon seat representing the Town of Sharon and the Village of Sharon. The ballot will feature incumbent Board of Education member Edward A. Hayden, board president, and challenger Chris Walter.

Big Foot Wolves Youth Tackle Football & Cheerleading
Big Foot Wolves Youth Tackle Football & Cheerleading participants and coaches were among the community-based groups participating in Big Foot High School's 2024 homecoming parade in downtown Walworth on Oct. 4. Affiliated with the Big Foot Recreation District, the independent Walworth-based Big Foot Wolves co-ed junior tackle and cheerleading programs are part of the Rock Valley Youth Football League and the Northern Illinois Football Conference. The program teaches football fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork and develops a sense of accomplishment. The season runs August through mid-October.

Berkshire Hathaway Starck Real Estate, 118 Kenosha St. in downtown Walworth, lent a fun and festive tailgate party flair to Big Foot High School’s 2024 homecoming parade, serving up free charcoal-grilled hot dogs, salty snacks and cold drinks to hungry parade-goers.
