MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers are opening their NL Central title defense without outfielder Jackson Chourio after he fractured his left hand during the preseason.

The famous Milwaukee Brewers Sausage Race made a stop at Lincoln Elementary School to surprise students and present the Brewers Grand Slam Teacher Award to an instructor on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in Madison Wis. The award was presented to Jennifer Kilburg, who teaches English as a second language and is a part of Lincoln's advanced learning program. The school received a $1,000 donation from the ballclub, and each student and staff member at Lincoln was gifted a two-ticket voucher to any regular season Brewers game.
