Embattled dog breeder Ridglan Farms to release nearly 1,000 beagles to rescue groups

Animal rights activists returned to Ridglan Farms, a beagle breeding and testing facility, to protest peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2026 in Blue Mounds, Wis. a day after they attempted to storm the farm and take the dogs.
Ridglan Farms, a breeding and research facility at the center of a monthslong battle with animal rights activists, has agreed to sell nearly a thousand of its beagles to two rescue groups.
