The town of Madison will cease to exist on Monday, and more than 200 residential units coming to the city of Madison will see address changes just days before the Nov. 8 election. The former Town Hall will no longer be a polling place, and the city is taking steps to aid a smooth transition for voters.
As the town of Madison dissolves and becomes part of the cities of Madison and Fitchburg on Monday, some residents will face hassles with changing addresses and street names — just days before the coming election.

Pump track
Keitavion Harrison drops into the new pump track at Aldo Leopold Park on Friday. Built with a $125,000 grant from Dane County, the park is the first of its kind in the area. An opening celebration is scheduled for Saturday.

Unlike most skate parks in the area, the pump track is open to anyone with wheels, from skateboards to BMX bikes, and from beginners to experts.
