Racine County is in an air quality advisory until noon Friday. The air quality index was in the unhealthy category Thursday. This interactive map can be found on the Air Now website, part of the US Environmental Protective Agency.

Air Quality Index June 16

Racine County experienced an Air Quality Index of 125 on June 16, making it one of the worst days of air quality this summer. This interactive map can be found on the Air Now website, part of the US Environmental Protective Agency.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has 30 ozone monitoring sites and 18 fine particle monitoring sites throughout the state. Racine’s ozone monitoring site is a trailer in Caledonia. The county does not have a fine particle monitoring site.
