Wisconsin football’s running game didn’t stumble in the absence of the injured Chez Mellusi, thanks in part to the emergence of Jackson Acker.

The Bad - snaps from center in shotgun
The ugly - B1G forcing me to subscribe to yet another streaming channel for that yawner if a game.
But, but, but, money!
Well, since it was being broadcast on a streaming service that virtually no one has, and I wasn't going to subscribe to just for 1 game, I honestly don't have any thoughts, other than BIG made a stupid decision going with Peacock, at this time.

But the Big Ten is rich
It would have been nice to be able to see it! I really don’t need another subscription at the moment. From what I heard it sounded like a pretty balanced offense and the D seemed ready to play an entire game.

Gotta spread those wings
Lol you tell me I don’t have peacock

Tough deal for fans
Idk ... coudlnt watch it since its on peacock smh. But we won!

Is that so?
Longo has no idea how to utilize Allen. This high-powered offense has been stuck in first gear all year and looks like it will not improve at all. Way too many passing attempts. Longo obviously does not understand the type of people that he has on his roster. Need to go to closer…

Good day for Tressel's group
Defense did well against the run, lots of 50/50 balls thrown to the talented WRs and Rutgers D jarred most of them loose, bring a few more of those down and this game is over ,much sooner, gotta lose the case of fumbilitis for Next week too.

Perspective needed
Lotta badger fans complaining about everything.
— Robinson Muff-Potter (@thonnius_maker) October 7, 2023
This Rutgers team is decent by their usual standards and we controlled the entire game. Should’ve won by more, but never nervous. Gotta keep getting better each week
Where they should be?
Bunch of people in here who don’t know ball. Literally everything on both sides of the ball is different. Different scheme, players and coaches. You expect this thing to look perfect five games in? That’s not realistic. And they’re still 4-1 with a loss on the road to No. 13.

Big games coming
Way too sloppy with turnovers but defense looked good. Gotta clean it up before Iowa and OSU
— Matthew Frisch (@mfrisch9) October 7, 2023
Game-breaking play
Ricardo Hallman’s 95 yard Pick 6 in the 1st half turned what could have been a 10-6 Badger lead into a 17-0 play of the game as Wisconsin is now 2-0 in the Big Ten. Two fumbles with one leading to a Rutgers touchdown was the low point of an otherwise clean game.

It was an issue
Best team ever….
— aarondentz (@aarondentz) October 7, 2023
Offense needs to figure stuff out before Ohio state. How hard is it to snap the ball back to the qb??
Lofty goals
Bring on Iowa. This team should finish 10-2
— chris (@Chris_Badgers) October 7, 2023
Who has stick 'em?
Those drops are going to cost us (another) one at some point. Gotta clean that up.

A win's a win
They won a game they were supposed to win. Well done.
— Madtown Alum (@madtownalum) October 7, 2023
That being said, the offense is still a work in progress but the defense stepped up today.
A pass and 4-1?
It’s Fickell’s first year he kind of gets a pass. People forget the cupboard was left dry with the previous regime not putting any money into the recruiting department. Need to go full board in transfer portal! #badgers

Cs get degrees
Really mediocre game. Rutgers was traditionally an opponent we buried. Handful of players played well. Too much sloppy and undisciplined play. C+

Tanner Mordecai saved snaps
Good win - but the offensive line is a lowkey problem that’s going to show up against a better team - the center in particular is a turnover waiting to happen

Not apologizing for 4-1

This offense makes me nostalgic for the exciting, high-powered Paul Chryst/Bobby Engram passing attack

472 yards in 5 games
Sure haven’t seen Allen used to his potential in this supposedly High Powered offensive system

Tough day for the tight end
Rucci should not be part of the offensive game plan. Hands of steel.

Offense's digest
Offense was ok…more opportunities available that were not executed. Mordecai was really good. Every snap was an adventure. Acker showed some nice things…can help keep Allen Fresh
