Activists no match for officers at Ridglan Farms; animal rights leader still in jail

Animal rights activists attempt to break into the Ridglan Farms beagle breeding and research facility in the town of Blue Mounds on Saturday. AÂ spokesperson for Coalition to Save the Ridglan Dogs said about 25 activists were arrested.
The leader of a movement to shut down a beagle breeding and research facility in the town of Blue Mounds was still in jail Sunday after being arrested Saturday during a raid meant to free hundreds of dogs, said one of his fellow animal rights activists.

A Ridglan Farms representative sent a video to media Sunday of white truck "driven by an animal rights extremist and break-in participant, ramming the main gate at Ridglan Farms" and driving at high speed through the facility.
