Meta Platforms, the owner of Facebook and Instagram, is the company building the data center underway on Beaver Dam’s north side, officials confirmed Wednesday.
Work is underway on a new data center on County Highway A, off of U.S. Highway 151, in Beaver Dam. The data center is expected to take years to complete, but when finished, it’ll be valued at about $850 million.
Protesters gathered on the sidewalk outside of the Beaver Dam American Legion building where a representative from Meta Platforms announced that they were building a data center on the north side of Beaver Dam.
