UW-Madison biochemistry professor Robert Kirchdoerfer saw his lab's research work on coronavirus proteins halted in March after the Health and Human Services Department deemed the work unnecessary. Kirchdoerfer's work is back on, for now, after a judge issued a temporary order restoring the grants.
