Gateway Technical College President and CEO Bryan Albrecht, who has overseen the college during a time of major changes in workforce development, the changing retail environment, technological changes in manufacturing and the emergence of logistics as a central pillar of the local economy, announced Thursday morning that he will retire this fall.

As Gateway Technical College rapidly expands its nursing program — in recent years going from 100 students per semester to 120, and adding a 32-student summer semester — it is reconstructing the Lincoln Building on Main Street in Downtown Racine to serve those students and educators.
