Take away the very fortuitous jump ball to Hilton and Hunter Simmons was 6 of 20 for 44 yards. Literally impossible to win with such incompetent QB play no matter how good your defense plays.
Good effort by some young players, but as always not enough to offset terrible QB play and utter lack of a passing game. I’m not interested in platitudes about how “this was a step forward” when we all know more big steps backward lie ahead.

My fear is all our young talent will bolt after this year. My hope is they give Carter Smith a chance after the bye since he can play 4 games and not affect his red shirt but the offensive coaching staff seems too inept to logically do that
