BARABOO — UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County student Jon Meyer had just settled into his first semester of college at the two-year university when he got the news: After nearly six decades, the branch campus was shuttering.
Citing low enrollment, UW-Platteville announced in October that it is closing its Baraboo Sauk County branch campus on May 22. The school opened in 1968. Area students will be left with fewer options for education after high school.
