Wisconsin’s birding community is soaring high after a record-breaking year in its largest annual conservation fundraiser.
Birds at the Mississippi River Flyway in Brice Prairie: This all-encompassing camera rotates around an open flyway on Lake Onalaska. The Upper Mississippi National Fish and Wildlife Refuge runs the camera, capturing a wide range of flying creatures that make their home in western Wisconsin. While the camera's mobile nature can be unpredictable, there's not really a bad angle on Lake Onalaska. The camera operators try to highlight the best winged visitors when they land close by, especially when bald eagles visit the area.
