A pair of state-owned buildings in Downtown Madison — sitting on prime Isthmus real estate — are officially up for sale as part of ongoing efforts to reduce spending and shrink state government’s footprint near the Capitol.
Once they’re sold, GEF 2, left, and GEF 3, right, are expected to be demolished and the block on which they sit redeveloped. City rules allow development in the area up to the Capitol height limit.
