An abandoned home on the former Voit Farm was burned to the ground Wednesday afternoon as part of series of controlled blazes set by the Madison Fire Department for training.
A 1930s-era fire insurance policy discovered in the home could have come in handy Wednesday if the owner’s plan were up to date — and the fire weren’t intentionally set.
