Small Wisconsin candle company raises $800,000 for Ukraine relief

At least 25 people were killed and 31 others wounded after Russian forces launched a strike on a train station near Chaplyne in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region on Wednesday, 24 August, according to the latest report from the Ukrainian train operator.
Wax is poured to make Ukraine candles at Door County Candle Company near Bailey's Harbor. The company has sold thousands of candles and has raised $800,000 for Ukraine war relief. The company is hoping to hit $1 million.
Community members gathered Wednesday, Ukraine's Independence Day, to remember those lost in the war and to celebrate Door County Candle Company's efforts that have raised $800,000.
