Samir Kalit’s last trip before the COVID-19 pandemic was to Madison to serve as a judge for the World Championship Cheese Contest. This week, his first trip in exactly two years brought him back to Madison to judge some of the best cheeses in the world once more.
Cheeses and judges from across the world returned to Monona Terrace for the biennial World Championship Cheese Contest on Tuesday, with nearly 3,000 entires in an event that was closed to the public due to the pandemic.
