John Klenke and two other teammates competed in the SkillsUSA's team engineering challenge, where students had one hour to build tools with a few given materials to lift a stuffed animal from the first floor to the second floor.
Jakob Loecher worked with two teammates from Westosha Central High School, using yarn to lower a contraption and attempt to scoop up a stuffed dog for the engineering challenge.
For the team engineering challenge, students had one hour to create a contraption from a box of given materials and come up with a plan to capture Stardust, a brown stuffed dog, and bring him up to a balcony from the first floor.
