Caledonia may quietly be taking over operations of Joint Park from Mount Pleasant

The park, which is currently jointly run by the villages of Caledonia and Mount Pleasant, may soon be solely operated by Caledonia if a proposed amendment to the Joint Park Agreement is approved by both village boards.
FRANKSVILLE — For almost 70 years, the villages of Caledonia and Mount Pleasant have worked together to run the Caledonia-Mount Pleasant Memorial Park, also known as Franksville Park, which is along Northwestern Avenue. That relationship may be (mostly) coming to an end.

People enjoy the Franksville Craft Beer Garden on Thursday at Caledonia-Mount Pleasant Memorial Park at 9416 Northwestern Ave. in Franksville. The beer garden opened for the season Thursday. The Franksville Craft Beer garden is open every weekend until the end of September. Hours are Thursdays 5-9 p.m., Fridays 1-9 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
