The Geneva Lake West Rotary Club honored 26 Big Foot Union High School Class of 2024 seniors with Rotary Diploma Endorsement Awards at a May 16 recognition luncheon held in their honor at Abbey Springs Country Club in Fontana. A longstanding 35-plus year tradition for both the Geneva Lake West Rotary Club and Big Foot High School, Rotary Diploma Endorsement Program honorees received diploma endorsement certificates and special scarlet and grey Rotary honor cords to wear at their upcoming Sunday, June June 2 commencement.

Hinske coordinates the club’s educational outreach Diploma Endorsement, Service Above Self Award and Senior Recognition programs. National Honor Society member Hartmann is president of Big Foot’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter and an executive officer with the school’s Freshman Mentor Program. Hartmann is also an active member of the school’s Math Team, HOPE Squad peer-to-peer suicide prevention program, Jazz Band, and bowling and golf teams, as well as a former three-year member of the Big Foot baseball team. Hartmann plans to major in business finance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a career goal of becoming a financial analyst or chief financial officer (CFO). Employed as a caddy at Big Foot Country Club in Fontana, Hartmann was recently awarded a full four-year Evans Scholar Foundation scholarship from the Glenview, Ill.-based Western Golf Association.
