School athletic director Barry Alvarez coached the Badgers in the 2013 Rose Bowl, serving as interim coach vs. Stanford after coach Bret Bielema announced he was leaving for Arkansas.
Ron Dayne scored four touchdowns and ran for 246 yards, just one yard short of the Rose Bowl record, in a victory over UCLA in the 1999 Rose Bowl.
