Would THIS years team be better with PC or JL? Too many unknowns but take a stab at it

Fans see Wisconsin men's basketball team they expected in upset of Virginia
Barry sees dominant win
The Badgers led wire-to-wire defeating previously undefeated and 24th ranked Virginia, 65-41. Best depth I’ve seen in years. Steven Crowl dominated the boards. If they play like this going forward, look out! Nice to see Barry Alvarez in the house!
— Jeff Ostach☮️ (@jeff_ostach) November 21, 2023
It's early
Can’t figure out this team. Good win here.
— Mr. Scott (@SCforestbrook) November 21, 2023
On-point passing
Defense was night and day better than any game this year; an aggressive Crowl was huge; ball movement was nice to see and there were some nice passes to set up easy shots. Great game!
— Greg Gard Stan (@dcjorgenson) November 21, 2023
Offense was bad?
Badgers shocked the world beating a top 25 team. Great defense. Offense is still bad. Outside of Crowell nobody else could shoot. Connor continues to be a disappointment. At this time probably not a tournament team.
— Drgradinjan (@drgradinjan) November 21, 2023
They need you to watch more often
Sadly, it was the first game I’ve been able to watch this season. Happily, the Badgers looked tough on defense, energized and scrappy on offense, and seemed to turn the tide on a lackluster start to the year. Curious about the lack of Essegian play. Keep it rolling, gents!

Likely Quad 1 victory?
Good win over a quality opponent. The Connor Essegian situation is worrisome, but if the team keeps playing like they did tonight, it may not matter.

Tough night for the fire Gard crowd
— Grateful Dread 🦌 (@UWGratefulRed) November 21, 2023
Nobody had a reason to
I did not see that coming! I figured it'd be a close game in the 50s. Blackwell - that boy is special. Nice effort by Crowl on both ends. Despite not a great shooting performance, it seemed like Chucky was everywhere - great D.
— tbuchner (@OnWisconsin07) November 21, 2023
Parallelism between UVa and the Badgers?
Good showing by Bucky. Some positives to build on.
— Daniel Konar (@daniel_konar) November 21, 2023
More importantly, Virginia. Every time someone says we should’ve hired Bennett, these types of Virgina performances are what come to mind.
It was impressive
Now THAT is the Wisconsin brand of basketball we’ve all come to know and love!
— Randall Kohl (@crandallkohl) November 21, 2023
The depth is nice
Impressive - get chucky and essegian cooking and this is a legit 10 deep squad with no drop off
— MJ (@MikefromWisky) November 21, 2023
Plenty to be thankful for
Very well-rounded win. Lots of guys involved on offense and a stout defensive performance against a top 25 team on a neutral court is a really good sign.
— Eli Wohlenhaus (@eliwohlenhaus) November 21, 2023
That's a good question
Just need to see this night in and night out. Can’t go from getting run out of the gym against Providence and beating Robert Morris by 10 to what I just watched. Why not this energy every night?
— Ernie Nichalson (@BigErn2323) November 21, 2023
First-half bias?
Great defense and rebounding. Really took advantage of their size advantage. Still struggling to shoot. Great win!
— Doug Clemann (@DougClemann) November 21, 2023
Someone's got to get him the ball
This is Crowl’s team. They need to play through him, not Chucky.
— Richard Earlier (@EarlierRichard) November 21, 2023
Probably not the worst
Not to sour a fun win, but that's the worst Virginia team in years. Maybe decades. The upcoming triumvirate of Marquette, Michigan State and Arizona will be infinitely more challenging.

Wire-to-wire energy
Learning from criticism is key. From tip-off to end, #Badgers had the necessary intensity to compete at a high level. Amen to the players for listening and implementing what they are taught. That makes #Wisconsin Basketball 🏀 successful.
