PAOLI — The cinder block building really didn’t fit the vibe here.
This is how the Paoli Barn, seen here in 2014, looked before a major renovation that included enclosing the building inside another.

Roger Hodel is the longtime chairman of the town of Montrose and had come to Paoli to check out the recently completed renovation of the barn, located across the street from a historic mill. Klonsinski is looking for a tenant.
Located next door to the Paoli House, at right, the Paoli Barn was built in the 1940s. Over the last year, the barn was covered with a new building, preserving the barn's interior but giving the appearance of a building from the 1880s.

Paoli bustles on weekends with a mix bikes, motor vehicles and pedestrians. Parking can be at a premium thanks to the live music, shops and restaurants that in the hamlet south of Verona.
The lower level of the Paoli Barn has 1,100 square feet of space and includes original support beams.
The renovation of the Paoli Barn was done to preserve the interior, including the exposed beams and boards of the second floor's arched ceiling. The floor, made of Douglas fir, is also original.
