Work begins on replacing I-39/90/94 bridges over Wisconsin River in Columbia County

A section of the Wisconsin River Bridge that will be removed and replaced with two new bridges. One will be located to the east of the existing bridges and the other will be located at approximately the same location as the existing bridges.

Replacing the County Road U bridge over I-39/90/94 will accommodate the alignment shift and widening being completed on the interstate below. About half a mile of County Road U will include shifting the alignment to the north.

Replacing the County Road V bridge over I-39/90/94 will accommodate the alignment shift and widening being completed on the interstate below. About half a mile of County Road V will include shifting the alignment to the north. And about half a mile of County Road V will include shifting the alignment to the south slightly. The alignment shift is being done to allow County V to remain open to a single lane of traffic during the reconstruction timeframe.
