New scoreboard at RecPlex Aquatics Center

The scoreboard, funded through a $128,000 grant from the Pleasant Prairie Convention & Visitors Bureau, was installed in January. The RecPlex’s swim team, the Pleasant Prairie Patriots and visiting teams, which includes 22,000 competitive swimmers who visit the village annually, will benefit from the state-of-the-art Colorado Timing scoreboard, according to Williamson. She said the display capabilities will enhance aquatics events for athletes and spectators alike, while providing eye-catching opportunities for visitors to learn about Visit Pleasant Prairie as a resource for local happenings, dining and lodging in the area.
Keegan Knott
RecPlex swim team member Keegan Knott recently broke the American record for the 1500 meter S9 freestyle by more than 30 seconds. The 16-year-old Paralympian was also the youngest USA swim team member at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
