Photo gallery: A look at Delavan's Aram Public Library — past, present & future.
For over 110 years, Aram Public Library has served the Delavan community as more than a stately, brick-and-stone monument to knowledge and fellowship. Now, a big change is on the horizon.
In a few years, work could begin on an estimated $9 million addition/renovation to expand and preserve Aram.
The site for Aram Public Library — 404 E. Walworth Ave., Delavan — was selected in March 1906. The building dedication was July 8, 1908.

Legacy of books
When Aram Public Library first opened in 1908, it had 2,332 books. Today, it holds much more than books. Compact discs, DVDs and many community programs — including one later this month about Abraham Lincoln — are also at the library.
