Aram Public Library, located at 404 E. Walworth Ave., Delavan, is dropping fines for adult library users starting June 1. Having done away with the fines for younger library users back in 2019, the library is now fine-free — but users are still encourage to return and renew items in a timely manner.

Over 110 years old
The site for Aram Public Library — 404 E. Walworth Ave., Delavan — was selected in March 1906. The building dedication was July 8, 1908.

Legacy of books
When Aram Public Library first opened in 1908, it had 2,332 books. Today, it holds much more than books. Compact discs, DVDs and many community programs — including one later this month about Abraham Lincoln — are also at the library.
