Daniel Colwell wants to take the fantasy game Dungeons and Dragons to the next level by creating Griffin & Gargoyle Tavern, an immersive themed restaurant and amusement center in Lake Geneva.

Griffin & Gargoyle Tavern will be a fantasy world in Lake Geneva where “You never know what will happen.”
Griffin & Gargoyle Tavern is proposed to be located near the Lake Geneva Emagine theater on Highway 120, just north of the downtown.

Colwell, a senior manager at Lake Geneva’s Emagine theater, said he started developing the idea for the fantasy tavern a few years ago. When the theater temporarily shut down due to COVID restrictions in 2020, that is when Colwell really had time to start working out the details.

This custom lake house between Fontana and Linn was built in 2016 for the owners of Mecum Auctions, which is headquartered in Walworth. It not only houses the family, but also an extensive car collection.
