A large crowd of members and guests were in attendance at family-owned Sammy’s on the Square in downtown Walworth on June 21 as Ingalls-Koeppen American Legion Post 102 marked the 103rd anniversary of the American Legion’s 1919 founding with a special birthday dinner celebration. The celebratory dinner is an annual Post 102 tradition dating back to the 1940s. Nearly as old at the American Legion itself, Ingalls-Koeppen Post 102 was established 101 years ago in 1921, giving it American Legion “Centennial Post” status.
Walworth-based Ingalls-Koeppen American Legion Post 102, which serves Fontana, Walworth and Williams Bay, presented framed continuous membership certificates on June 21 to post members marking milestone membership anniversaries.
