Comes with the territory
Wisconsin lost to a better coached team who had his players ready to play. One loss should not have fans calling for Paul Chryst being fired. He recently received an extension. I understand the shock and disappointment but that’s college football.

The Wisconsin defense was good Saturday. But it needed to be great in the clutch, and when it wasn't, the Badgers ran out of time against visiting Washington State.
Nakia Watson once suited up in the Badgers' backfield. He was the only Washington State player to find the end zone against UW.
Graham Mertz played well enough for the Badgers to win. But penalties and a costly turnover were to blame for the latest offensive dud under Paul Chryst.
Aspects examined include center Joe Tippmann's holding penalties, the Badgers' poor tackling, and quarterback Graham Mertz's footwork.
A nonconference loss to an unranked program proved costly for the Badgers.
