The new WNBA season is upon us and with it comes the opportunity for players and teams to win their first, or another, championship. With that in mind, the start of a new campaign marks a good time to take a look at which players have won the most titles in WNBA history. Rebekkah Brunson captured a record five WNBA titles, with her first coming in 2005 with the Sacramento Monarch before adding four more with the Minnesota Lynx. Sue Bird, a 13-time All-Star, won four championships with the Seattle Storm, becoming the only player to win a title across three decades. Maya Moore and Seimone Augustus collected four championships alongside Brunson in Minnesota. Sheryl Swoopes, Cynthia Cooper and Tina Thompson were part of the historic Houston Comets team that won four straight titles from 1997 to 2000. After winning a championship with the Los Angeles Sparks in 2016, Chelsea Gray added three more titles with the Las Vegas Aces in recent years. Candace Parker was part of the 2016 Sparks team and has since won titles with the Chicago Sky and the Aces since then. Two-time Finals MVP Diana Taurasi won all three of her championships with the Phoenix Mercury. Four-time MVP A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young have been part of the Aces team that have won three of the last four championships.
