BARNEVELD — After months of negotiations with Democratic Gov. Tony Evers, the Republican-controlled Legislature plans to reconvene in Madison this week to advance a massive $1.8 billion bill that would funnel hundreds of millions of dollars from the state budget surplus into a mix of funding for K-12 schools, property tax cuts and direct payments to Wisconsin tax filers.
