A Kenosha County Board supervisor who currently chairs the board, Monica M. Yuhas, announced she will not seek office to the District 17 post she has held the last eight years. She said she wants to spend more time with her two sons and her grandchildren now that her husband is also retired.
The Kenosha County property tax levy will increase by 2.96%, rising by $2,301,272 to $80,095,811. The tax rate is expected to drop by 4.1% to $3.04 per $1,000 of assessed value.Â
