Early Wednesday, scores of law enforcement officers moved in to remove an unsanctioned encampment that had been set up as part of a days-long protest against the war in Gaza. After issuing a 15-minute warning, police began removing tents. More than a dozen protesters were arrested after police said they tried to block the operation or interfered with police.
Police began Wednesday morning removing an illegal encampment from Library Mall at UW-Madison. The encampment was established on Monday by supporters of Palestinians in Gaza.
