KENOSHA — Nearly 1,400 elementary, middle and high school students performed in Kenosha Unified School District’s annual orchestra festival Saturday.
Kenosha Unified leaders are urging lawmakers for funding relief, including partial use of the state's more than $1 billion surplus, as taxpayers face sharp property tax hikes and sustained inflation.
Frank Elementary’s annual Santa Gift Giveaway ensures every student receives a holiday gift, thanks to support from community partners, staff, families, and volunteers.
The 2026 Kenosha Unified School District Choral Festival featured more than 900 students and drew huge crowds. District choral groups grades 5-12 performed in this year's festival Feb. 21 at Indian Trail High School & Academy auditorium.Â
The Mahone Foundation's 2026 Reaching for Rainbows "Pursuit of Excellence" Scholarship Gala will be held Friday, May 8, at the N. E. Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center on the campus of Carthage College in Kenosha. A reception beginning at 5 p.m. will be followed by a dinner and scholarship awards program.
Indian Trail High School and Academy Art Club students joined The Memory Project, creating handmade portraits for children in Cambodia to share kindness and connection.
The 16th annual Read Across Kenosha brought together community leaders, volunteers and educators to promote literacy among pre-kindergarten through third grade students across Kenosha County.
