Several Walworth County emergency management agencies showcased their vehicles and equipment, and provided residents with information about their services during National Night Out on Aug. 4 at the Walworth County Fairgrounds, 411 E. Court St. in Elkhorn. The event featured K9 demonstrations, bicycle raffles, jaws of life demonstrations, food vendors, taser demonstrations, informational booths and a fireworks display.

Mobile Command Unit

Kate Lewis recently allowed Walworth County Fair exhibitor Rebecca Konkel to house her cows at her farmette iin Walworth, after areas of Konkel’s family farm were damaged by a storm on July 3. Konkel is set to showcase six cows at the 2026 Walworth County Fair.
The Aurora Health Care Foundation is set to host its 40th annual benefit event from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Big Foot Country Club, 770 Shabbona Drive in Fontana. The event will include cocktail reception, dinner, live music, silent auction and presentation of the Alice J. Morava Physician Leadership Award.
A 44-year-old Madison man has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide in relation to an incident that allegedly occurred in the city of Whitewater in July, according to a press release from the Whitewater Police Department.
