Wisconsin men's basketball fans give returning guard his flowers after win vs. Rutgers
It appeared the Badgers had their depth return as a pair of guards who didn't play at Rutgers helped beat the Scarlet Knights.
Looked like a familiar team
This gritty performance by the entire team reminded Badger fans of how well they played from November-January. Kamari McGee showed the kind of energy needed during the postseason. Blackwell, Storr, and Hepburn all played hard. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a run in March!

Seems like a safety issue

They changed the game
Bench is back w/McGee and Blackwell both having HUGE games. Chuckie with incredible D. Gard w/ momentum-changing move to play McGee & Hepburn & Blackwell together. We salute Tyler Wahl. @tjwahl01 Thank you for your great career!

A needed momentum boost
Chucky was the key defensively. McGee is a clear difference-maker. Happy to have him back. Good to see the momentum in 2H. Need the confidence going to face Purdue and the B1G Tourney. Dig deep and stay strong, gents. #OnWisconsin

Defense was on point
Kamari was the missing link. His enthusiasm and giving 100% every minute has given this team a much needed shot in the arm. Blackwell should be starting instead of Max. Max was getting caught on the screens the whole game. Overall, I am relieved and happy for the win!!

Things shifted with Kamari's energy
Thank God for McGee, he was the spark that turned things around! After a sloppy start with way too many turnovers, missed FTs, and lazy finishes at the basket! The Badgers finally took control late in the game. Chucky was skilled pickpocket and kept things close early on.

Clean game was needed
Huge. Not sure it goes well without Kamari McGee. He was a difference maker and elevated everybody's game. Bigger test on Sunday before we can say they're back. Not saying they have to beat Purdue, but I don't want to see them lose by 15 with 20 turnovers either.

Took awhile to get going, but when they did ...
Tonight was a must win. The boys showed great effort and energy, still need to work on taking care of the ball tho.

Kamari was a huge spark off the bench for us, which helped big time. All in all great win. 👏🏾
Is that where the hammer comes in?
Amazing how when missing parts return the TEAM looks better. Welcome back @KamariMcGee with all his energy was great to see. Now let’s build on this at Purdue as a new chapter can begin for this season.

Tip of the cap to T-Wahl

Forget what it feels like?
i think we scored more points than rutgers tonight

Sound thoughts
Team looked better in 2nd but awful in the first. I’m constantly puzzled WHY we don’t Follow our shots. The high picks are being set too high, just a couple of observations to watch! Coming from a 84yr old former player/coach.

A lot of positives
-They beat a team they should beat.
— Madtown Alum (@madtownalum) March 8, 2024
-McGee provided a spark and didn’t really show any rust.
-Hope Klesmit’s injury isn’t too serious.
-Still have a (slim) shot at a top 4 finish in the conference.
Overall, a much needed win.
Oh.
Kamari is the straw that stirs the drink.

Crazy, or maybe not
This is a Final Four team with McGee in the lineup.

Pretty sweet close
McGee our glue. And Tyler Wahl kissing the Kohl Center floor? Made me cry. About the sweetest thing I have ever seen at a College game, ever.

Blackwell had a big-time game
Nice W.. happy for the team.. needed to get that positive mojo going again.. got huge scoring help from Blackwell, McGee.. now put together another strong effort at Purdue, going forward..

Have to be engaged
Can’t continue to be so casual with the ball.

One of the plays of the game
I can't remember exactly the time on the clock when John Blackwell made the play of the game. That defensive sequence where he played on ball defense, switched on the ball screens to stay on ball and single-handedly caused a 30 second clock violation, just a superb effort.

Hooray!
Nice to tweet after a win!

I think even Barry would smile at this
I’m just glad Barry was alive to see Tyler’s last game at the KC.
