The Annie C. Stewart Fountain is a neighborhood landmark. The idea for the fountain was born in 1905, when Mary Stewart left $2,000 to the Madison Park and Pleasure Drive Association for a drinking fountain in memory of her daughter, Annie, who suffered from depression and had committed suicide the previous year.
