The Milwaukee Bucks shot a franchise-record 68.9% from the floor to defeat the Phoenix Suns 133-123 at Fiserv Forum. The Bucks, who were 51-of-74 from the field, also shot the highest field goal percentage since the Los Angeles Clippers shot 69.3% in a 152-120 victory over the Toronto Raptors on March 3, 1998. All eight Milwaukee players who featured in the game shot 50% or more from the floor, with star Giannis Antetokounmpo registering a team-high 37 points. Antetokounmpo, who added 11 rebounds and six assists, was joined in double figures by guard Ryan Rollins, who was 5-for-7 from three and finished with 23 points. Veteran Brook Lopez added 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting as the Bucks notched a season-high 56.9% from behind the arc. Despite the Bucks’ shooting performance, they nearly blew a 21-point lead in the second half, with Phoenix being able to stay in the game due to Milwaukee’s 20 turnovers. Phoenix, who scored 24 second-chance points to the Bucks’ three, reduced the deficit to four points late in the fourth quarter before Rollins knocked down a three-pointer to seal the win. Antetokounmpo, who told his team prior to the matchup that they were “fighting for our lives,” noted how important the win was for him. “I definitely needed a win. I think when you win, you enjoy your sleep better. You enjoy your food better. You enjoy spending time with your kids and everything better. You enjoy interacting with your teammates more. I'm a sore loser. I'm not going to lie. We definitely needed a win,” said Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks sit sixth in the Eastern Conference, which would be their lowest finish since 2018, with the Suns lying a game-and-a-half back on the Play-In in the West.
