Brandon Woodruff pitched six strong innings in his first start in 651 days, Jackson Chourio homered and drove in three runs, and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Miami Marlins 3-1 on Sunday.

Brandon Woodruff  struck out eight batters and allowed just two hits in his first start since September 2023 as Milwaukee won 3-1 to defeat the Marlins in a three-game series.
Andrew Vaughn hit a three-run homer in his first plate appearance with his new team and Freddy Peralta threw six shutout innings as Milwaukee crushed the struggling Dodgers.Â
Shohei Ohtani greeted Jacob Misiorowski with a leadoff homer, but Milwaukee's rookie phenom responded with a career-best 12 strikeouts in six innings, including one of Ohtani.
Quinn Priester (7-2) allowed two runs over the final six innings for the win as the the Brewers extended their winning streak to five games on Friday night in Milwaukee.Â
