The Badgers finished with a net 2 rushing yards in a lopsided loss to the Illini, who hadn't won in Madison in 20 years.
Illinois football players said they wanted to deliver a win for Bret Bielema against the Wisconsin Badgers, his former team. "We expected this." And the Illini delivered.
The Badgers football team for decades could rely on a bruising offensive line to keep the offense moving. That's not happening, and it's a big reason why Wisconsin is 2-3.
“Something needs to change because that’s not us,” Badgers safety John Torchio said. “That’s not the Wisconsin football we all know.”
Wisconsin could have to pay fired football coach Paul Chryst nearly $20 million but the exact amount is unclear.
